Retinal Imaging
A Retinal Camera is linked to a computer, so that a Digital picture of the back of the eye can be taken and stored. This will provide a permanent and accurate record of changes to the condition and health of the eye from examination to examiantion. If any abnormalities are found a patient can be referred to their GP or nearest Eye Hospital for further investigation.

Humphrey Vision Screener
Is like a computer game to use and stimulates the whole inside of your eye. It checks all the sight cells are connected to the brain and prints out a map of how strong the connections are. This is useful for monitoring possible damage, for example, from glaucoma or diabetes. The DVLA can also request a special driver's screening.

Tearscope
This is used to demonstrate the tear layer so deficiencies can be corrected.

Auto refractor and keratometer
Simple and quick to use, it can predict the finished spectacle prescription, check for cataracts and measure the shape of the cornea ready for contact lens fitting. Because it is painless and has a pretty picture, even small children love trying it.
