Juul & Payne offer Spectacle lenses to suit your lifestyle and your frames
All lenses are not the same
We use lenses from Essilor and Seiko for lightness, clarity and quality.
They both produce lenses which resist scratching and blurring and keep the quality of their coatings. Many cheaper lenses shed their coatings after a few months wear, or are thick and heavy even in the more expensive 'thin' format. Cheaper varifocals often use old technology giving a distorted wobble to everything, so if you've tried lenses before and had problems, don't give up, try the best before you decide varifocals or anti-reflection coatings aren't for you.
Remember we are so confident you will succeed with these varifocals that we give a no quibble exchange policy.
Anti-reflection
Anti-reflection coatings which reduce glare, scratches and are beautifully and clear. They are also water resistant so when you're out in the rain droplets just fall off.
Computer Lenses
Computer lenses are designed for computer use; part of the lens is used for the screen and the other for your keyboard.
Varifocal lenses
Varifocals correct long distance, arms length and close vision all in one lens. There's no visible line giving natural vision.
Tough lenses
Stronger materials (virtually unbreakable) used for sports or rimless frames.
High Index
Thinner and lighter lenses making your lenses look lovely and feel comfortable.
Transitions
Lenses which darken when in contact with the sunlight- you only need the one pair to protect your eyes from UV.
Tinted Lenses
What ever you colour you fancy! Full tints or graduated, mirror finished and UV protecting.
