Q: Why is the Webstore being introduced?
A: The recent Coronavirus pandemic has impacted everyone and has changed the way people wish to interact with service providers (such as us). We have streamlined the patient journey in our Practice in line with best practice on social distancing; PPE use; frame sterilisers and other aspects of our processes and the Practice physical environment. Everything we do is designed with your safety (and that of our staff) in mind. The changes we have made include introducing new (and safer) leading edge eye examination technology and launching the Webstore which is the first of our new on-line services.
All of these changes are designed to ensure that we can continue to provide you with the highest quality (and safest) eye care possible highest quality (and safest) eye care possible and to make it as convenient as possible to interact with us.
Q: Who can use the new Webstore?
A: The Webstore is available for all current Juul & Payne patients and also new customers.
Q: How can the Webstore be accessed?
Q: Do I need to register to use the Webstore?
A: A You do not need to register if you just want to use the Webstore to browse the 6 most popular ranges of designer frames; sunglasses and Contact Lenses which we have available online. If you want to make a purchase on-line you will need to register the first time (only) you use the Webstore even if you are a current Juul & Payne patient who has registered to receive our eNewsletter or use the online booking facility.
Q: Is the Webstore easy to use?
A: If you have used another online website for purchasing (such as Amazon) you should find the Webstore fairly intuitive and easy to navigate. If you have any problems you can call our normal telephone number (0117 9735929) during opening hours; leave a message out of hours and we will return your call, or you can email email@example.com

Q: How does the Virtual Try On facility work?
A: The VTO facility enables you to use your smart phone or laptop / iPad to see your face wearing your selected frame or pair of sunglasses as you move your head. There are only a small number of frames and sunglasses available with this facility currently but we intend to add more as our software supplier makes these available.
Q: Can I purchase prescription spectacles from the Webstore?
A: Currently, you can purchase spectacles with single vision lenses only if you have a current prescription with which you are happy. If you are an existing Juul & Payne patient we have your prescription on record in our Practice Management System. If you are a new patient you will need to provide / upload a copy of your prescription.
You cannot purchase spectacles with varifocal lenses on-line as we need to see you in person to ensure a proper fit.

Q: How can I purchase prescription spectacles with varifocals or other specialist lenses?
A: Have a look at our Webstore to see 6 of our most popular ranges of designer frames and then book an on-line Virtual Consultation (coming soon) with one of our experienced Dispensing Opticians to discuss your requirements and the available options. They will then book you in for a styling consultation in Practice to try on the frames you have pre selected and to carry out measurements to ensure the best possible fit.

Q: Am I better of purchasing prescription spectacles online or in Practice?
A: Even virtual try on doesn’t compare to ‘actual’ try on as you’ve probably become aware if you’ve ordered anything online. Our experienced Dispensing Opticians (Chris; Jo and Emma) look carefully at your posture, head angle, face shape and colouring. They also talk about your lifestyle and prescription to ensure you get the most comfortable, flattering frames and effective lenses...and the best deals! And finally, they will customise the fit of your frames to ensure you are really comfortable. Not all frames will support, or look good, with every prescription or can be fitted to every head. We can do fitting with ‘click and collect’ but prefer to see you in person with the frame of your choice before final ordering. We can fit the frame then, confirm it’s exactly right for you and then post the completed item substantially reducing your risk of getting it wrong.
Q: Can I purchase Contact Lenses from the Webstore?
A: If you have a current Contact Lens prescription with which you are happy you can select from our most popular daily; 2 weekly or monthly contact lenses from Johnson & Johnson; Alcon; Bausch & Lomb and CooperVision.If you are an existing Juul & Payne patient we have your Contact Lens prescription on record in our Practice Management System. If you are a new patient you will need to provide / upload a copy of your Contact Lens prescription.
Q: I am an Eyeplan customer. Can I obtain my normal discounts of 25% off spectacles and 15% off sunglasses if I buy on-line?
A: Yes. Just let us know in advance and we can email you special discount coupon codes for your use only.
Q: Can I take advantage of the Essilor Take 2 spectacle lenses offer valid until the end of November 2020?
A: Under the Take 2 offer, when you buy one pair of Crizal lenses you get another pair either free or half price depending on the first pair chosen. However, this offer applies to single vision lenses and also varifocals and other specialist lenses (such as for computer use and driving) which we can’t currently sell online. Therefore, if you wish to take advantage of this offer please call us on 0117 9735929 and we will advise you the best way to do this.
