Cutler and Gross are an independent frame manufacturer founded in London in 1969 by Graham Cutler and Tony Gross who met whilst studying to become optometrists. For over 50 years they have been at the forefront of optical design as trailblazers, disrupters and pioneers.
They began as a small but innovative manufacturer of hand-made, bespoke frames but their reputation spread by word of mouth amongst a community of artists, rock stars, writers and royalty who valued the Cutler and Gross commitment to quality, fit and good design. Their pioneering approach fused elegance, creativity and cutting-edge craft without compromise.
Cutler and Gross frames are British designed and made in Italy by experienced craftspeople who champion the art of making every frame individually. Each frame is unique and meticulously handcrafted by some of the world’s most talented eyewear craftsmen with every component made from premium materials such as Japanese titanium, Italian acetate and precious gold for a luxurious and long-lasting finish.
